My personal finance journey began more than 25 years ago when my uncle gave me a copy of the book Rich Dad Poor Dad for Christmas.
The book was quite light on detail, but the main lesson was very clear:
Assets put money in your pocket, whether you work or not, while liabilities take money from your pocket.
The
book left a big impression on me at the time - motivating me to learn
as much as I could about investing and finding ways to achieve financial
independence.
What
started out as a hobby in high school naturally led to a career in the Accounting
and Financial Services industries - where I've been refining my skills and knowledge for the past 20 years.
In
2013 I quit the corporate world so I could start Healthy
Personal Finances, with one clear mission:
To
empower young Aussies to take control of their financial future by
making informed decisions, so they can live life on their own terms.
I look forward to helping you achieve your financial goals!
Formal education will make you a living; self-education will make you a fortune.
